ECR Sponsors Gloucestershire School’s Environmental Learning Project

EPoS specialists ECR today announced their sponsorship of a new outdoor learning project at Chalford Hill School in Gloucestershire.

Pupils and staff at the school will benefit from a dedicated outdoor-based class learning environment, reinforcing Chalford Hill’s proudly held ‘Outdoor School’ status and giving children the chance to spend more lesson time learning in an outside environment. The enrichment project enables children to experience nature in and around the garden environment.

Mrs Corinne Martin, Head teacher, said:  “We are incredibly pleased to be able to expand our outdoor offering, enriching the learning experience for every pupil at the school. Children consistently tell us how much they enjoy learning outside the classroom. As a school, we take every opportunity to incorporate the benefits of being outdoors into the curriculum and are grateful to ECR for their continued support.”

The sponsorship forms part of ECR’s commitment to supporting Gloucestershire social projects in both education and the environment. Simon Pont, CEO at ECR, commented “a Gloucestershire resident myself, I am committed to supporting local environmental initiatives and am delighted that ECR can help give children the chance to combine learning and spending more time in nature.”

ECR have an ongoing programme sponsoring initiatives of social value in and around the community. With close ties to the Gloucestershire region and understanding the funding challenges facing Gloucestershire schools, this contribution has been particularly welcome.

The project is now complete and children will begin enjoying its benefits from the start of the new year 2020.
